For AI agents
Coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and similar) make Opus Motion videos for a project with the agent guide: https://opusmotion.com/agents.md.
- The guide's steps: read the project, ask the person a few questions, compare templates (each one has a timelapse, its scenes and its fields), make a draft with
POST https://opusmotion.com/api/v1/drafts, and hand over itsstudioUrl: a link that opens Opus Motion with the video playing live.PATCHwith the draft'seditTokenchanges it, and the link stays the same. - Plain HTTPS and JSON: no key and no account; an MCP server is optional. Nothing is rendered; the person exports the MP4 from the studio.
- The studio is filled through the API, not by driving the site with a browser. When the API refuses, the person is told.

Sell launch videos to brands
A freelancer charges $500 to $5,000 for a 30 to 60 second launch video, and a studio more. With Opus Motion you make that level of video from the brand's own website, export it without a watermark, and the license covers your clients.
An example, not a promise: what you earn depends on the clients you find and the price you agree.

Made with Opus Motion templates
Each of these came out of a template filled with the brand's own public website and material. The same template takes your client's.
- SpaceX: the template
- GoPro: the template
- MasterClass: the template
- Lamborghini: the template
These brands didn't commission or endorse these videos; they show what a template does with a brand's own material.
What a brand pays, and what it costs you
What brands pay
- $500 – $5,000: a freelancer, for a 30 to 60 second launch video
- $1,500 – $15,000: a studio or an agency
What it costs you
- $0: a free template, exported in 1080p with no watermark
- ~$17: a premium template, paid once per export
- $49 a month: the Pass: 15 premium exports every month
An example
Two clients a month at $500 each is $1,000, against $49 for the Pass. A single $500 client covers a whole year of it on the yearly plan ($468).
Where the market prices come from
- Flowjam, How much does a launch video cost in 2026: freelancer-led, 30 to 60 seconds: $1,500 to $5,000; studio-led: $5,000 to $15,000.
- Forkoff, What a launch video costs in 2026: one editor, simple edit or short explainer: $500 to $1,500; mid-market studio: $1,500 to $10,000.
- Vidico, Promo video cost in 2026: a 30-second promo: $1,200 to $3,000; freelancer or small team: $1,000 to $5,000.
Four steps, from the first pitch to the invoice
- Pick brands that are launching. Startups launching on Product Hunt, apps with a new version, a shop with a new product. A launch is a deadline, and a deadline is when a brand pays for video.
- Make the video before you pitch. Paste the brand's website: the template comes out with its logo, colors and words. Sharpen the texts and add their real screens or photos.
- Send the video, not a proposal. A finished video in their colors says more than any deck. Offer both formats: 16:9 for the site and YouTube, 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.
- Deliver and charge. Export it in 1080p with no watermark and hand over the MP4. Agree on the price and one round of changes before you start.
A first message that works
Short, about them, with the video already made.
Hi {name}, I saw {brand} is launching {product}. I made a 30-second launch video in your colors: {link to the video}. If you like it, it's yours for ${price} in 16:9 and 9:16, with one round of changes.
Videos every brand needs, again and again
- Launch videos: A product, an app or a new version, cut to music.
- Product spotlights: One feature, one screen, one message.
- Logo reveals: Openers for their videos, Reels and decks.
- Kinetic titles: An offer, an announcement or a headline in their colors.
You sell the videos, not the templates
You can:
- Make videos for your clients and charge what you agree with them.
- Let them use the videos anywhere: ads, social media, their website, presentations.
- Edit the exported video further in your own tools.
You can't:
- Resell the templates themselves, their files, graphics or music apart from your video.
- Resell access to Opus Motion, or share one Pass between several people.
Questions
### Can I charge clients for videos I make with Opus Motion? Yes. The license on every export covers commercial use and work for your clients (Terms, section 7). You set your own price.
### Do exports have a watermark? No. Free and premium exports come out clean, in 1080p, with no Opus Motion signature.
### Do I need the Pass? No. Free templates cost nothing and premium ones are paid once per export. The Pass makes sense when you deliver several premium videos a month.
### How much should I charge? Published 2026 price guides put a freelancer's 30 to 60 second launch video at $500 to $5,000, and a studio's at $1,500 and up. Many start lower to win the first clients and raise the price as their portfolio grows.
### Can I use a brand's logo in a sample video? For a pitch to that brand, use its own public material and say it's a proposal. Publish or deliver it only with the client's OK.
### Can I resell the templates? No. You sell the videos you make, not the templates, their files or access to Opus Motion.
### Can I earn by recommending Opus Motion instead? Yes. The affiliate program pays 30% of what the people you bring spend in their first 12 months.
