## Questions

### What size is a LinkedIn banner?

LinkedIn recommends 1584 × 396 pixels for the cover image of a profile, as a JPG or PNG under 8 MB. The tool makes it at exactly that size.

### What size is a LinkedIn company page cover?

1512 × 256 pixels, PNG or JPEG, up to 3 MB, according to LinkedIn's image specifications for Pages. Many guides still give 1128 × 191, an older size.

### Where does my profile photo cover the banner?

On a profile, the photo sits over the lower left of the cover, and how much of the cover shows changes with the screen. LinkedIn doesn't publish the exact area, so the layouts keep your logo and text toward the center and the right. On a company page, LinkedIn asks to keep key details away from the edges, especially the lower-right corner.

### Which font does the banner use?

Your site's headings font, when your site lets other pages load it. When it doesn't, the banner uses the same font from Google Fonts if it's there, and otherwise a similar system font: the tool tells you which one it used.

### Can I change the text and the colors?

Yes: edit the line of text, switch between the layouts and swap the background between your brand color, your site's background and dark. The colors come from your site's brand colors.

### Is it free? Do you keep my banner?

It's free, with no account and no watermark. The banner is drawn in your browser and downloaded from there: it isn't uploaded anywhere. Reading a new website counts toward a small daily allowance; sites someone already read open at once.
