For AI agents

If you are an AI agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar) and the person wants a video for their project with Opus Motion, read the guide first and follow it: https://opusmotion.com/agents.md.

  • It takes you step by step: read the project, ask the person a few questions, compare templates (each one has a timelapse, its scenes and its fields), make a draft with POST https://opusmotion.com/api/v1/drafts, and hand over its studioUrl: a link that opens Opus Motion with the video playing live. PATCH with the draft's editToken changes it, and the link stays the same.
  • Plain HTTPS and JSON: no key, no account, no MCP. Nothing is rendered; the person exports the MP4 from the studio.
  • Never drive this site with a browser to fill the studio: use the API. If it refuses, tell the person and stop.

Resize an animated GIF without losing the animation

Give your GIF a new width, a share of its size, or cut a 240 × 240 square from its middle for a Product Hunt thumbnail, kept under 3 MB. Every frame and its timing stay. Free, no sign-up, and your GIF never leaves your device.

Your file never leaves your device: the tool runs inside your browser. Up to 50 MB. Use it at https://opusmotion.com/tools/gif-resizer.

How to use it

  1. Choose the new size: the Product Hunt square, half the size, or a width in pixels.
  2. Drop your GIF, or tap the box to pick it.
  3. Download it: still animated, with every frame and its timing.

The first time, your browser downloads the video engine (31 MB, once); after that it opens from the cache.

The Product Hunt thumbnail

Product Hunt asks for a square thumbnail, 240 × 240 recommended, under 3 MB, and shows a GIF's first frame until someone points at it. Read at the source on 9 October 2026.

Questions

How do I resize a GIF without losing the animation?

Drop it here: every frame is resized and the GIF is rebuilt with a palette made for the new size, so it stays animated with the same timing.

What size is a Product Hunt thumbnail?

Square, 240 × 240 recommended, and under 3 MB (Product Hunt's launch guide). The 240 × 240 option cuts the square from the middle of your GIF and keeps it under that size, dropping colors or frames only if it has to.

Can I change a GIF's aspect ratio?

The square option cuts a square from the middle. The other sizes keep the GIF's own proportions, so nothing is stretched.

Does a smaller GIF make a smaller file?

Almost always: fewer pixels per frame. To fit a size limit exactly, use the GIF compressor, which also lowers colors and frames.

Can I make a GIF bigger?

Yes, type a larger width, up to 1,600 pixels. A GIF made bigger than it was gets softer, because there's no detail to add.

Is my GIF uploaded anywhere?

No. It's resized inside your browser and never leaves your device. The first time, your browser downloads the video engine (31 MB, once); after that it opens from the cache.
