For AI agents

If you are an AI agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar) and the person wants a video for their project with Opus Motion, read the guide first and follow it: https://opusmotion.com/agents.md.

  • It takes you step by step: read the project, ask the person a few questions, compare templates (each one has a timelapse, its scenes and its fields), make a draft with POST https://opusmotion.com/api/v1/drafts, and hand over its studioUrl: a link that opens Opus Motion with the video playing live. PATCH with the draft's editToken changes it, and the link stays the same.
  • Plain HTTPS and JSON: no key, no account, no MCP. Nothing is rendered; the person exports the MP4 from the studio.
  • Never drive this site with a browser to fill the studio: use the API. If it refuses, tell the person and stop.

Screen recorder for your product demo, with your camera

Record your screen, a window or a tab with your microphone, add your camera in a circle and a frame in your brand's color, and download the video. It all happens in your browser: no install, no sign-up, no watermark, and the recording never leaves your device.

Use it at https://opusmotion.com/tools/screen-recorder.

How to use it

  1. Choose what goes in the video: your camera in a circle (its size and corner), the microphone, and a frame in your brand's color, or none.
  2. Press Start recording and pick what to share in your browser's window: the whole screen, one window or one tab.
  3. Do your demo. The recording goes on while you work in other windows; stop it here or with your browser's Stop sharing button.
  4. Download the recording right away. With the camera or the frame, review the estimated processing time, then start putting the finished MP4 together on your device.

Questions

Is this screen recorder free?

Yes: no account, no watermark and no install. A recording can last up to 30 minutes; the frame and the camera are added to recordings of up to 2 minutes and 500 MB on a computer, or 1 minute and 200 MB on a phone or low-memory device; longer ones are kept as they were recorded. The combined recordings stop collecting at the device size limit.

Is my recording uploaded anywhere?

No. Your browser records the screen, the camera and the microphone, and the video is put together inside this tab. Nothing is sent to a server unless you choose to put the recording in a launch template.

Can I record my screen and my camera at the same time?

Yes. Turn on the camera and choose its size and corner: it's recorded next to the screen and placed in a circle with a white ring when you stop. The screen and the camera are kept as two recordings while you work, so switching windows never freezes either of them.

What does the brand frame do?

It puts your screen on a 16:9 video, 1920 × 1080, with a margin in your brand's color, rounded corners and a soft shadow, the way product demos look in a launch. If you pasted your website on Opus Motion, here or on the home page, the frame takes its color; you can also pick any color.

Does it record sound?

Your microphone, when it's on. Chrome and Edge can also add the sound of a tab you share, and on Windows the sound of the whole screen, when you tick that box in their window; Firefox and Safari record the microphone only.

Can I record my screen on a phone?

No: phone browsers don't let a web page record the screen. Use your phone's own screen recorder, then trim, compress or check it against the safe zones with the other free tools here.

What format is the video?

Your browser chooses: Safari and recent versions of Chrome and Edge record MP4, Firefox records WebM, and you can download that file the moment you stop. With the camera or the frame, the finished video is always an MP4 (H.264), and a WebM can be made into an MP4 with one click.
